New Link to RCGA Site

Shilo members wanting to post scores on the RCGA network site can still do so from our new web site.

We have just recently added a NEW Button on the bottom right side of our web site. You may have to scroll down the side a bit to get to it. From there a simple mouse click will take you to the official site of the RCGA and Golf Canada.

You must have you user name and password ready for log in.

If you currently do not have a registration ID, please contact Dave Scinocca in the Pro Shop to get hooked up.

Thanks for you patience while our site has been getting renovated.

Missing 8 Iron

One of our Pro Shop staff has lost a Taylor Made 8 iron this year and would greatly appreciate getting it back. It’s a new model, right hand and has a White grip. If you have played at Shilo recently can you double check your bag to see if you may have it and forgot to turn it in. A small reward will be given for it’s return. Thank you.

Congrats to Bubba Watson on winning the 2012 Masters with a PINK Driver.
Ping is now introducing 5000 limited edition replica drivers to be released in June.

First Hole-In-One of 2012

Bill Key aced the 155 yard 6th hole on Friday, April 6th with his 8 iron.
It was witnessed by; Alex McPhail, Darcy Snider and Paul Thorkelson.

Bill earns a $100 gift card to the Shilo Pro Shop for his accomplishment.

New Web Site, Big Changes

We are in the process of a redesign for our web site. It will have more features and interactive pages with even more information about our fabulous club. We are excited for it’s launch and it will be live very soon. Stay connected with us via Face book at Shilo Golf & Country Club. 2012 is shaping up to be a great year with such an early start to the season. The golf course looks great so far and the greens look fantastic according to our GM, Scott Ramsay. The new cart sheds are now complete are ready to move in carts. This is only one of the major changes that you will see this spring, there are many more positive upgrades coming. See you all on the links soon !!

This was submission was just given to us from the organizers of the Shilo Senior Men’s League:

Happy spring to one and all.
This great weather makes us think a little more about golf and the golf season so we thought that it is important for us to let you know we are thinking about the Senior League again also. Some of you will be anxious to get to the course and that is good but we will not be starting the league for a while yet. Both Dave and Bill will be out of town until early April and at present we are looking at a meeting with the members for about the 20th of April. You will be advised by phone and email of the exact date, time and place.
Apparently the course is to open on the 22nd of March and we have been told that there is a change in the course, as per hole #17, it is now a par 5 and the course is a par 72.
We are looking to have our shot gun tee off times in May at 9:00 am and 8:30 am from June on.
Please read the following and act immediately. We would like a heads up on your interest in playing with the Seniors again this year, either as a regular or a spare, and we certainly look forward to having everyone back again.
We would like each of you to email us (no phone calls) with your intentions. We want to know if you are playing; if you have a partner; who your partner is.
If you know of anyone interested in playing in the league please email us at bille@mymts.net

Our records show that Vern Coulter, Ken Cruickshank, Fred Dujardin, Ken Wells, and Richard Plante, do not have email addresses. So if any of these gents are your partners please let them know about this letter and also let us know if they are playing.

Inter Club Championship Results for 2011

Congratulations to Matt Burman, David Glenn, Scott Davidson and Rob Hall for placing 5th at the Men’s Provincial Interclub Championship that was held on the 29th Aug at Minnewasta Golf & Country Club.

Congratulations go out to our members - Holly Nahachewsky, Judy Prange, Susan Ash and Connie Chudley for winning the Women’s Interclub B Championship that was held at South Interlake Golf & Country Club on 23 August! Great job!

Congratulations to Senior Men’s team for placing 4th at the Men’s Senior Interclub Championship that was held at Minnedosa on 19th August!

2011 Rural Amateur Results

Congratulations go to two of our own for the Rural Amateur Championship! Matt Burman beat David Glenn, another member of the club, in a playoff to win the Men’s and Dwight Kearns won the Senior Men’s! Great job!
